~HeartSpeak~ July 15, 2012

God has been confirming so many things in my life this week. I am under the mentor-ship of another phenomenal woman by His grace and will be back again this evening being mentored by my Pastor Paula White on the very thing we all need to focus on- MINDSET and understanding how we, in order to achieve great success, we must see ourselves there daily in our minds. Not purposely, there was a time when I could not understand how God would want to use a little girl from Bagdad, FL to achieve the things He placed in my spirit. Perhaps I thought I wasn't worthy. Perhaps because of what others have said about me over the years, I thought it was too big but no more! I am embracing HIS vision and HIS will for my life! I am making myself available to Him 100%. Joel Osteen said, "What you put before you will affect you!" so every day and night before I go to bed I will look at my vision board and continue seeing myself where God showed me He was taking me many years ago. The messages  are loud and clear. I just spent time the last hour not only writing out my goals, but also mapping out how I am going to get there! Personal, Business and Financial! I have always written my goals but this time I have gone really in-depth on how I WILL achieve them!

If God has been speaking to your heart and shown you what He wants to do and where He wants you to be, do not let fear keep you from stepping into your destiny. Do not let another person tell you who you can be and what you can do! You belong to GOD!

There will be a lot of changes going on the last half of the year for me and I do intend to finish strong! Many will not understand or support me but that is ok. I celebrate the victories of everyone! Just as Pastor Paula said this morning, how can a person say they love God and hate and not celebrate humanity?! If you hate someone because of their skin color, sex, religion and yes, political background, you are a liar and the truth is not in you! Do something to change that today, not tomorrow!

On the business tip, I am looking for 5 people and only 5 who are seriously looking for a vehicle for freedom and financial success. It is not about just the money, but paying off bills, being able to give more to charity, taking care of your family and just having more choices in life. If you are serious, let's get together and talk! I know God will use me to change many lives, whether you will be one of them  is up to you and no one else.

Whatever you do, understand that when you take advice from other people, you are buying into their life style. It's time to stop taking advice from those who have never been where you are trying to go! Many times people will let one person make decisions in their lives and one day wake up with regrets!

This was on my heart to share today and as anyone who follows my posts knows, I speak to you when my  heart speaks to me! I will post more as the second half of the year progresses and update you on how close I am to achieving my goals! One step at a time, one day at a time, everything will happen for me! I am doing my part to make sure it does! ;-)

Wishing you peace, light and all the love you can hold!

Until next time...

New Year- New You! Time To Put The Lid On The Trash Can!

Happy New Year everyone! Just wanted to drop in with another Heartspeak to start off 2012!

Ever notice how you can be in great spirits and you get a phone call from one of the negative people in your life and it just sours your entire mood? What about people who constantly complain about everything in their lives, including all the people in it and never have anything good to say?

Those who have been around me long enough know that a common phrase of mine is "Guard your gates!" What I mean by that is be careful what and WHO you expose yourself to! Bad attitudes of others and other negative energy just fights against your positive energy and if you are not careful, you will find yourself unhappy too! Whoever said first that "misery loves company" definitely knew what they were talking about!

There are a few ways you can protect your positive space. First, you have to recognize the sources. Pay attention to your emotions. When you are happy, make a note of what made you feel happy. When you find yourself feeling upset, make a note of that as well. Next, adjust your attitude. Many times its how we look at things that determines the degree they will affect us and also how quickly we will recover from them. A lot of us go through life just letting things upset us and acting as if we have no control over the affects others have on us. This is not true. You have to protect your space like a guard dog and be determined that you will not give anyone that kind of power over you. This does not happen overnight, trust me! It takes practice. Since no one is perfect, there may be times you are caught off guard but the key is being more aware of  your environment and the people around you and take an honest assessment of what is positive and what is not!

You do not have to be anyone's garbage can!  That is exactly how you act when you continue to allow others to dump their negativity on you. It's time to put the lid on the can. We each have to be accountable for our own actions.  I am by no means telling you to turn your back on anyone but a person has to be willing to change for themselves. Encourage them, pray for them but sometimes you will find that the best thing to do is limit or even eliminate the time you spend with them. If they are keeping you from moving forward in life and keeping you from growing, sometimes you have to make the hard decision to let them go. The choice will always be yours!

If you want more positive energy in your life, you will need to make a conscious effort to focus and meditate on the positive things you want more of. This is why I asked you to write down the things that make you happy earlier. Avoid the things that make you unhappy. Do not think about them. Instead think about what brings you JOY! Hopefully I have shared a few tips that will help someone, even if only one. I am extremely thankful to be at a place where I can focus on my blessings and just being happy. That does not mean that things do not happen that I would not like in life. It just means I have made the decision that come what may, I will not allow it to keep me at a place of unhappiness. I have so much to be thankful for.

Wishing you all a year filled with JOY, blessings and love!

Until next time!

Are you GIVING your dream away?

"The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your OWN thinking."- Robert H. Schuller~

Take an honest look in the mirror. Have you allowed the non-belief of others to cause you to have lack of faith in what God has shared with you? If He planted a Vision inside of you, how can you expect others to see it? There are dream supporters (those who don't see it but believe in you) and there are dream stealers (don't see it, speak against it, try to discourage you)... but is it really stealing when you give it away?

Sometimes we are so quick to run to others for advice, when in actuality, they haven't even figured their own lives out yet. How can they help you figure out yours? When you act on the advice of someone you are actually buying into their life and lifestyle. Be sure they are successful in that area of their lives. If a person is broke, should you really ask them for financial direction? Would you ask a person who can't cook how to prepare a gourmet meal?

We give too much power to others to influence our feelings or emotions and our beliefs. We also place blame instead of taking responsibility for our own actions. After all the choice is all yours in the end. We will stand as individuals for what we personally do. You will not get a pass because you acted under the instruction of another.

Now is the time to get out of your own way and take the limits off God. Recognize that when He gives you a VISION, HE backs it with HIS provision. As long as YOU believe and keep seeing yourself walking in it AND take the steps to achieve it- YOU WILL NOT FAIL! The only way you do is if you QUIT! Many people give up on the verge of breakthroughs. Appreciate your journey, stay linked in spiritually and listen to His voice! If you can SEE it, you can most certainly ACHIEVE it!

Peace, blessings and love!

Until next time...

Brick Walls- It's About Attitude

We all run in to "brick walls" at many points and times during our lives. I have learned that your attitude determines how hard it is to overcome them, rather than the rough place you find yourself .

When you focus on the obstacle itself more than what it will take to break through it, it adds even more hardship. I challenge you to look at the walls in your life not as just an adversity, but how empowered you will feel once you work through the situation.

Attitude and mindset run hand in hand. With the proper mindset, you are able to keep a more positive attitude about life in general. Have you ever noticed at times where a small thing resulted in you acting in a bigger way than it normally would? Suppose you woke up one morning feeling on top of the world. You tell yourself that you will be happy today, no matter what comes your way. You get to work, your boss does something that you didn't like, but you remain happy anyway because you told yourself, no matter what happens today, I am NOT letting anything steal my joy! Sound familiar? Now, lets reverse this. You get up in a bad, grumpy mood. You don't feel like going to work and you tell yourself "No one better mess with me today. They will get themselves told." You get to work, your boss upsets you. Well, you can just imagine how the rest of the story goes.

We have more power and control over our lives than we give ourselves credit. It all starts with having the right attitude. Sometimes we are faced with adversities (brick walls) as a test of faith or to show how bad we really want something. The truth is, if you have the attitude that you really want something, you will do whatever it takes to make it happen! Adversities build faith muscles! We need only look to the story of the butterfly and the cocoon. Without the pressure of pressing against the cocoon, there would be no beautiful wings. They would not be strong enough for flight. A diamond would not exist were it not from extreme pressure. This is all a part of the process, YOUR process.

Let's think outside of the box for a moment. If you have a dream or a vision and you know the keys to reaching your destiny were behind that wall... what would you do to get beyond the wall? Would you climb it, go above it, around it or find a bulldozer to tear it down?

Next time you are faced with an obstacle, instead of focusing on the "brick wall", focus on what is beyond the brick wall! When the desire to achieve what is on the other side of the wall becomes greater than what it will take to get there, it won't be necessarily be easier but you will know it was definitely worth it!

Wishing you all a blessed and happy remainder of your week as we continue to march into a new year!

Peace, blessings and love always!

Until next time....

Will we ever be satisfied?

Photobucket

I was talking to a friend today and asked them how their love life was going. We have been friends for over 10 years and it had been a while since we communicated with each other. With true friends, you want nothing more than to see the other happy. Our discussion took the turn too many others do. He was trying his best to make things work but his mate runs hot and cold. Until they make it known how unhappy they are, the other person showed no real interest to be "nice" to them.

There are many things I don't understand in life and this will continue to be the one I don't get. Why is it so hard for "us" to show appreciation to our mates. Why do we have to lose them in order to appreciate them? What will it take to end this vicious cycle? We have heard many times it is very easy to take someone for granted. When they leave, the other person becomes bitter, lashes out at the ex or even the new person in their life. Ask anyone who is on the "dating scene" now. Too many people trying to play games and not taking care of "home". Better try to hold on to what you've got and take care of home!

Actions have consequences and I always tell people, live your life without regrets. If you do something wrong and you know its wrong, be prepared to live with the consequences.

The person that penned this quote was telling the truth:

"Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day, and realize that you’ve lost a diamond, while you were too busy collecting stones."- unknown

If you have a good man or woman in your life, don't push them away. Give them the love and respect they deserve. If you can't do that and one day they get tired and leave, do not be bitter. Get better for the next person. We should after all learn from our mistakes. This is, after all, how we grow and mature!

Peace, love and blessings!

Until next time!

This Lady Wants to Make you Successful - Here's How | | West Orlando News Online 2011® Central Florida News, Info, Sports

This is an entry from West Orlando News sharing a little bit of my story... My passion is to help others and I want to help as many people as I can learn to live life by design instead of just settling for what comes their way. Sadly, many do not realize that they have the power to change their atmospheres and their destinations in life. I hope to change that. I truly want to make a difference. I still have a vision of hope and will until the day I take my last breath. This is just one component of what makes me, me... I am more than people see. The fact that they do not realize it is not going to change my focus. This is what happens when you get to a place where you know WHO and WHOSE you are...

I have missed blogging and excited to be back... my story continues to be written and its going to be a best seller! Stay tuned! ;-)

Love, peace and blessings!
