Heartspeak 8/23/2020 - Growing Pains

If life got harder, you probably just leveled up. Now is not the time to give up. Now is the time to dig deeper and press harder. Dreaming BIG often requires you to GROW into the person who will achieve those dreams. #Growth is not always easy but necessary. #growingpains 

Not everyone you began this journey with will continue with you. This was one of the hardest lessons for me to learn but I now understand. I now realize it is by design. Not everyone wants to grow. They are content being where they are and that is ok.

We are all born with seeds of greatness within. It is up to us to tap into it. We each have free will and the choice to choose to reach our full potential or not. If you choose to keep going and growing, it doesn't make you a bad person. Not everyone is called to go higher.  Some people are never meant to be a permanent part of your life. Appreciate the time you had. Smile that you had them. 

Make room for connections at each level. Spend time in rooms where you aren't the most successful person.  Read books. Never stop learning. Embrace this wonderful process. Follow your heart. Be kind. Keep dreaming big and growing until those dreams become reality!  These are some keys to creating the life you truly deserve, the life God planned for you.

Heartspeak 8/14/2020 - Words from a Mother

#Heartspeak - #WordsfromaMother #Wisdom #Friday - You've heard it before and you're about to hear it again. When a person shows you who they are, believe them! They don't always show you with words, but those ACTIONS!!! 👀👀👀

When you are generally kind and try to see the good in all people, it can be easy for you to be bamboozled. Ask me how I know? I remember Pastor Zach (RIP) preaching a message once and talking about people trying you and taking your kindness for weakness. He said, "You need you a Pee Wee! Pee Wee is a little crazy and they don't want to mess with Pee Wee! Pee Wee is unpredictable!" I thank God for MY Pee Wee! 🙌 They looked out for me when I was giving my all to those who didn't deserve it! God didn't call me to be a doormat. Thankful for those lessons that are not a blessing!

 

In these times, please use discernment. You need people around you that not only you can trust but you need people who WANT to support your vision. Visions are personal. God gave you yours. It's ok that others don't see it. You can't even share it with everybody. Some folks will not only try to destroy your dreams, but will even pray against it! Be wise with who you share with. If it doesn't add up, stop trying to buy new calculators to fix it. Numbers don't lie, but people sure do!

Envy and jealousy are sick diseases. Those driven by them are not happy, no matter what they say. When you are happy, you truly want to help others. When you focus on your own blessings, you learn to be content even in your pursuit of your dreams. You don't worry about competing with others because you know the person in the mirror is your true competition. You celebrate the success of others because you know it shows what's possible for YOU!

It's self check time! Do your personal assessment of your own life. Examine your heart. Examine your circle. Examine what you tolerate. Never settle for less than you deserve. People will treat you how you ALLOW them to treat you. When a person chooses to walk away from your life, let them. Have #faith, trust God and let HIM remove any obstacles. Get out of your own way! Heartspeak - 5/24/2020

#Sunday #Heartspeak - My oldest Grand Prince, MJ, called me and Mom early this morning on video chat. I hopped on first, expecting to see my beautiful daughter. Was surprised to see his handsome, grinning face and the sounds of the SWEETEST "good morning"! We started our little convo, then Mom joins to the sounds of another sweet "good morning, Gee Gee"!

We are charged to make this world so much better than it is if for nothing other than our sweet babies! They deserve so much more!

Love conquers hate as light erases darkness. Anything representing divisive behavior and lack of compassion and love for ALL has no place in my life. ALL nouns... God IS Love and that LOVE is available to ALL regardless of other things that may be allowed to separate and divide.

My heart sincerely goes out to each and everyone enduring challenges at this time. Thank you to those selfless essential workers on the front lines. I pray no one innocent has suffer because some people feel the need to "exercise their rights" . Where the line is crossed and when YOUR rights put others at risk who choose to exercise THEIR rights to continue to take precautions.

Praying for peace and WISDOM to prevail. In the end, I know where our help comes from and because of this, I have faith we will get past this. ALL of it. Which side of history will you stand? Will you be one who helped or one who caused harm? Do what you like, but don't cause another to suffer because of YOUR choices. #FoodforThought

Finding Passion in my Purpose

Once your mind expands, it's hard to go back to your old way of thinking. Been thinking about #legacy a LOT lately. God knows I've always wanted to make a difference in the lives of those I meet. I've always prayed that their interactions with me leave them in a better place. This is both personally and professionally. I have never wanted to cause anyone harm.

I truly understand what matters most is how #GOD sees me and how I see myself. I can face this woman in the mirror who, although imperfect, is constantly seeking ways to grow. My heart smiles with PRIDE for I know God knows my heart and SEES me! I will continue to work on being the best me no matter what. So many are counting on me. I owe it to my ancestors! I owe it to God. I owe it to myself.

Super excited to meet Mr Stedman Graham next month at our #Atlanta  event. But looking even more forward to being in the presence of my many awesome 5LINX partners as we continue this fight against poverty and mediocrity! Half the people smiling in your face don't really like you. They may like what they THINK you can do for THEM! If they think they don't need you, they will pay you dust. You don't know WHO you meet every day that can and will make an impact in the lives of others. #BeHumble

Every expert was once a beginner. The people who are now great were once good. No matter how high you go, better remain humble. You can be confident without being arrogant. Some of you will get that.

Some of the same people speaking empowerment are tearing down others. Reminds me that blessings and curses can flow from the same tongue. The source: what's really in your heart. Love IS what Love DOES! 💖

You've got to set your goals and go for it. Never let the people , with their own imperfect past, hold you in YOUR past. Today, give yourself permission to hit the "ignore", "block" and whatever button you need to in life. What ever others say and think about you is not your concern. Shut out the noise and maybe it is time to shoot the messengers. My Grandma always said, "Any dog that brings a bone will take one back!" Granny was right! Wanna cut drama? Stop being a garage can. Put the lid on it!

Lastly, learn to love the decisions you make for your life. Think things through. Every action has a consequence. My rules- (1) Please God (2) If it pleases God, it pleases me. Bottom line, make decisions you can live with. If it doesn't work out, figure out what went wrong. No regrets because YOU decided. Life will go on! What matters most is how you see yourself! HeartSpeak - Sick & Tired of Being Sick & Tired!

Stop acting like #BlackLivesMatters is saying All Lives don't matter. The fact  is, if ALL lives truly mattered, there would be no need for #BLM. What you need to ask yourself is why you are so threatened and bothered by it? The damage is not from the movement, it's from those who use hatred to oppose something they obviously choose NOT to understand.

Too many keyboard bandits using their platforms to be evil. They run around posting the same vile messages, post after post. You don't understand the simple concepts because you choose not to. Because you are incapable of relating, you bash. Lack of empathy and the automatic judging based on someone's brown skin leaves you in a blind rage. The responses are always different depending on the race of the subject. Open your eyes, people.

Those who DO understand and choose to remain silent are just as guilty. Ignoring something because you feel like it's not affecting your life will one day find you in a place where it's in your backyard. Speak up! #UnitedWeStand

The time for change is now. The time for reform is now. It's time to start holding people in position of power accountable. I don't care who gets elected at this point because it's time they ALL do what they were elected to do. If they are not, don't vote them back in. Simple as that.

It has been easy for blind puppets to blame everything on President Obama. Believing everything #FauxNews feeds them and other hate filled trolls with personal agendas. Politicians have been playing chess with our lives. They would rather play politics than do what's right trying to make someone look unsuccessful. All the things he accomplished, imagine if they had worked together, how much better things would be.  Common sense isn't common. Voting matters. Exercise your right.

Let's have some productive dialogue. Seek understanding. Ask if you don't know. Too many speaking without thinking. We've got to be better than this. We've got to do better. Check yourself! I truly feel sorry for people who spend their days hating. Imagine what they feel inside? It will eat you up like a cancer and consume you. Everything you see will make you angry. You will never experience joy or peace no matter what happens. Dangerous for your health. Dangerous for your soul.

With all that has been happening in this world and our Nation, I still have hope. I know there are more good people in this world than bad. Evil is overcome with good. Love WILL win in the end but not without conscious action.

I challenge you to have a conversation with someone you normally wouldn't. Smile at the people you pass, even if they don't smile back. Do something nice unexpectedly for someone, just because. Have an honest discussion with someone who you disagree with without being angry.

I have had all kinds of emotions this week, but I knew I couldn't let it consume me. God gave me a gift to love. I'm sharing it with you today. If it gets just one person to pause and think, then to God be the glory.

We are different yet all the same. We all have wants and needs. We want the best life for our families. The best gift you could leave your future generations is the gift of PEACE! What part will you play in creating the gift?
